A very hearty thanks to all of the incredible mom business owners who joined us for our second annual Makings of a MOB Conference on September 22. We were so thrilled to see so many women passionate about moving their businesses forward making solid connections with fellow business owners. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the insight, experiences, and advice shared by our amazing panelists, and of course, the inspiring and empowering keynote speech by chef, restaurateur, mother, grandmother and author, Lisa Schroeder.

If you missed Chef Schroeder’s keynote speech in person or via live stream, we’ve added a video of her speech online. Be sure to take a few minutes to listen to her inspiring story and truly helpful tips for mom business owners.
Here’s what some attendees are saying about the Makings of a MOB Conference:

“I have attended many conferences for women in the past five years and I can honestly say that the PowerMOB conference was the most organized conference I have ever been to specifically in terms of the content directed to the participants. The panels had interesting, relevant speakers who brought real added value to the attendees.”
-Kim Rosenberg, Rosenbaum Financial

“I found it both exhilarating and humbling to be in the company of so many other women entrepreneurs who either have managed, or are managing, balancing career and motherhood. As a new business owner and mother, the MOB conference was inspiring and I left feeling a new found energy and commitment to both my family and my business.”
-Maggie Palmer, MKP Creative

“I really appreciate what the PowerMOB has to offer! Marlynn has done such a fantastic job with the conference and really recognizing what information is helpful to any micro or small business.”
-Wendy Foster, Mamalates
“The conference was extremely energizing and informative, and far exceeded my expectations as a first time attendee.  Sometimes when people hear the words “Mom Owned Business”, they tend to lower their expectations and think that it might not be all that serious.  I loved it, and have already recommended it to several of my mom/business friends.”
-Kim Brannock, SY Design, Inc.

“Thanks so much for creating and putting on such a fabulous conference!  I found the speakers t to be very inspirational and motivating.  I walked away with a new-found energy and drive to keep following my business dreams and aspirations.  If the speakers are doing it then so can I!”
– Zenana-Renee Rose, Owner, Zenana Spa & Wellness Center

“I had a blast! Excellent networking opportunity – I made some very good contacts and got a few new clients!”
Kami Gray, wardrobe stylist & author
